Nowadays, no one has time to read too long documents. That is why the monthly reports should be short and represent the essence of what happened in the previous month. In the monthly report you will describe the project status, write down what you drew Employer’s attention to, what you expect from him, and list the key issues on the project that require his reaction.
During the preparation of the monthly report, we have the opportunity to check whether we control issues that we do not have time to control on a daily basis, such as the project budget, guarantees, insurance policies etc...
The content of my monthly reports is:
- status of general documentation (construction permits, consents of utility companies, etc.);
- design status
- progress of works, Time Schedule
- financial status
- conclusion and proposal for action.
